'Luther' creator Neil Cross to write new Doctor Who S7 episode

The installment, which will air in 2013, is currently filming in Cardiff and will star new Who companion Jenna-Louise Coleman, Doctor Who Magazine reports.

Cross created hit Idris Elba crime drama Luther in 2010 and also served as head writer on Spooks between 2006 and 2008. He is also developing ten-part pirate series Crossbones for NBC.

Mark Gatiss has also confirmed that he will write a 2013 episode of Doctor Who.

“It’s for the new companion, Jenna-Louise Coleman - that’s all I can tell you or I will actually be shot!” he joked.

2.15pm on Sunday 27th May

My doorbell rings. The car has arrived. Yes, I have a ‘car.’ He goes by the name of Derek and he’s just pulled up in his Audi A8 to take me to the Corinthia to get my hair and make up done. Yes, this is actually happening….

London Olympics 2012: Danny Boyle’s Opening Ceremony Inspired By FRANKENSTEIN
Who would have thought that a theatrical project on The National’s stage more than a year ago would be the ingredients for an Olympic opening ceremony! That’s at least what Danny Boyle, Frankenstein Director and Olympic Artistic Director tells Vogue, stating…
“(There is) quite a lot of Frankenstein in the show. I mean, we don’t reanimate dead creatures, but we did use Frankenstein as a dry run for a lot of ideas for this.”
So could we say that Frankenstein is the prequel to the Olympic games? If so, you can catch our broadcast this June prior to the 27 July opening ceremony and get a taste of what’s to come. And the Olivier-winning performances by Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller aren’t bad either.
